The ERA was formed as an initiative of the East Rand Member District of Chartered Accountants (The oldest Society of Chartered Accountants in South Africa {Predating SAICA} Our only requirement for listing Chartered accountants on this website is that they have to be highly competent.
The ERA’s purpose is to promote the services of Chartered Accountants on the East Rand. From a computer point of view they are only one click away from Sandton.
Its purpose is also to match highly competent CA’s to needs of clients by listing CA’s with their specialisations on this website and allowing clients to choose CA’s that suite them.
The ERA uses other Chartered Accountants to vouch for the competence of CA’s listed on this website.

BUSINESS REORGANISATIONS
We have a number of highly competent CA’s that specialise in business reorganisations and derisking companies. In a big 4 audit company environment the most senior people are only available to large companies, on the East Rand we have similarly experienced people available to smaller companies.
BUSINESS RESCUE
We have a number of Business Rescue Practitioners in our region, from junior Business Rescue Practitioners to senior Business Rescue Practioners. The correct Business Rescue Practitioner will be allocated to your issue by the Committee based on the Business Rescue Practitioner's experience and the profile of your company because the allocation is being done by a sub committee of the professional society of Chartered Accountants. It is less likely that the Business Rescue Practitioners is not a match to your business. We only recommend Business Rescue Practitioners who have substantial forensic auditing skills. We believe that Business Rescue Practitioners who have not had forensic auditing taught to them at University are absolutely unsuitable to be Business Rescue Practitioners. On this criterion alone, we would disqualify most accredited Business Rescue Practitioners
